Hello my name is MsPrincess, I'm new to the forum, and waiting to get my surgery date hopefully next week.  I have done alot of research into gastric bypass surgery, been to meetings in New Haven, CT.  and seen alot of before and after pic's.
Here in New Haven, CT.  we have to see our nutritionist for six months before we are allowed to have the surgery.  I even had a test on what to eat the first two weeks of surgery, and so on.
I know about liquid vitimins, calcium, and iron, and all that.
Yet I still don't know everything!
I trust and believe in JESUS ya'll, I really do, but I feel so anxious, yet uneasy, a little troubled, mixed with a touch, just a touch of fear ya'll .  Can you please help a sister out?
I need some advise, some of how you felt right before you got your surgery date, and give me some luv ya'll I can use alot of that.

Welcome ms. princess I was anxious before I got my date (it was about 4 months between my initial ocnsult and surgery) I was so ready to begin this new chapter of my life.  You sound like you've done your research and I'm sure if you have specific questions BAF fam will provide you with their experiences.

Hello and welcome to BAF!

Your fears and concerns are normal.  You will find your peace.

I had fears that kept me from having the surgery for 2 years.  Eventually I had to make a choice.  I could chose to live with the fear of dying because of all the co-morbidities OR take a risk with the surgery.  I chose the surgery obviously and glad that I did.

I wish you the best!

Hi Ms. Princess:

Welcome to BAF and I think we all had the same concerns and frears you are having.  Just keep praying and have faith.  I'm praying that you get your date and everything goes perfect for you.  Take care.
