OT- Business As Usual No Longer Acceptable ... MLK-BARACK
Today we embark on a monumental season in our lives
We acknowledge Rev. Dr. Martin Luther Kings birth
While we aticipate the realization of the result of a
Dream not defered!
We will witness worldwide, the emotions of
Maya Angelous poem Still I Rise ... and most importantly
God has shown Himself mighty again ... as in calling David to be king,
he looked for the unlikely, ruddy one
I am grateful and blessed to watch President Elect Obama step into his assignment.
To see the smiles of my elders who suffered and fought as they smile whenever
the occasion is mentioned.
To know that my children, and all children ahead will
live in a time that someone of African decent becoming President
is no longer an empty hope that sounds "sweet".
Today, all persons, can stand tall knowing that as people
of all shades, cultures, colors can believe that we all CAN.

~ Yet Pressing ~
While David was yet on the hill with the sheep tending them and of course sweeping sheep dung, smelling all funky.....God was yet preparing him for what to be a great worshipper, a great warrior, alas a great king.
I can see the comparison....While yet a little kid from mix parents growing up in a world that was still looking at bi-racial people as freaks...God was preparing him to be a statesmen... a king.
God took the lease expected (david) (Obama) and put him in a place of power and it was in his humble worshipping heart that gave him power to do what God assigned him to do(David) it will be in his humble worshipping heart that God will lead him to save a nation(restore hope)(Obama) for he has given him people of faith to help him.
