I'm Just curious. How did you get here? How did you get to OH/BAF?

For me I was seriously thinking about WLS.... Rny vs. Band.... I had so many questions and i was looking online for so many answers, so I GOOGLED "Gastric Bypass support groups" and up popped OH, I came on the site browsed through some pictures and read some forums and decided "This Is It"... "This is what I have been looking looking for"

i spent hours on people's blog pages reading about their success. I was on OH for about 2weeks before I discovered  BAF and I have been addicted eversince

I see alot of friendships,boyfriend/girlfriend, relatives, and so on. I must say I am so blessed to have discovered this site because it has taught me so much.

so tell me how did you get here, was it:  word of mouth ----a friend--   search engine

When I started doing research back in 2005/2006, I also found this site via Google.  I used to lurk and fine out a lot of useful info on the main board.

Promptly, however, I forgot all about OH and went about my business.  Fast forward to 2008, a year after my surgery, thereabouts.   I was in conversation with a friend (luvbug89) in another chatroom/board who was post-op (the site had nothing to do with weight loss-lol) and she sent me a link here.

Imagine my surprise to know I could have been among this dysfunctional family long before I actually took part in March of last year. LOL.

I found OH through my surgeon's office, and Cookie led me to BAF....way back in 2003.  I guess you can tell I'm hooked, lol.

My surgeon's office recommended OH.  I lurked on the main board off and on....wasn't feeling it, then I was directed to BAF by Treena (thanks!) and I've been hooked ever since.

I googled it back in 2004.  I was only aware of the main board at that time.  I decided not to have the surgery and wasn't on the board anymore.  In 2006 I decided to have the surgery again and came back.  It took me a week to find BAF and I've been here ever since.  The only other board I visit on rare occassion is the May 2006 board, just to see how others are doing that had the surgery the same month as me.  It helps keep me on track as well.

Hello Ms. Tanya,

After my surgery, I was "Googling" and discovered OH in April 2007.  Even then, I just filled out the profile info and I did not log back in until February 2008 when I posted about my one year anniversary picture and I have been enjoying the site ever since.  I discovered BAF in April 2008 and was so glad to have found it.    I wish that I had found OH/BAF prior to surgery and had utilized it during the entire time after surgery because it would have helped me to be able to discuss my issues and concerns.
