Ok - I am having a Negro moment.......

I guess I'm fortunate... I requested Monday off (told my boss I'm calling in Black.)  He was suprised and said:  "I thought you would have wanted Tuesday too..."  So I now have 2 days off...

Thats some crap.  Sorry you're not off.  I asked off in November right after Obama won in case I got tickets (I work retail right now while I study for the bar -- and you know the mall is open and ready to take your money all days but Thanksgiving and Christmas) - good thing I did, since I did get tickets.  Can you hole up and watch it on a computer, on company time if there is a break in training?

We're off  today and since we are off today the administratition could not (would not)close the office for two days in a row. They did set up tv's in two locations through the building and have allowed us the opportunity to watch it from 11-3 on the clock! So I can't be made at them.

I usually take off MLK every year but chose to work and be off for the Inauguration.  I will be spending the day with my parents...my Mom is 68 and my Dad is 79 so this is really big for them and along with a few other family members.  I will be in carb heaven tomorrow...we are having a fish fry.

I originally requested this day off back in June when I started with this company. I take all school hoidays off. They sent an email last week stating that they will pay double salary plus we get to take the day another time.  I am actually getting paid more than double salary becuase I am working for another team right now. My black butt is sitting here very happy. The King family gots theirs, Obama gots his and I need to get mines. I even voluntered to work overtime. I dont have a DVR for nothing. I can watch all the happenings (commercial free) during the weekend.
