She Told Me I Act Old !!!!

Okay, I go to a little old country church with about 15 members and I like that but a member that is close to 60 yrs old told me that I act too old !!!!! I'm not mad at her because she was speaking her mind. She told me that I dress old and I'm just old acting for a 41 yr old person. My hubby has been saying this for a while. He says that I dress too conservative and I act like I'm 70.  I told her that I was always like that. Even when I used to go to the clubs back in college I would sit there and be like, this music is too loud and what time are we leaving?

Okay y'all, I need help to get a little younger. Next month I will be going to the DC Meet & Greet and I have no idea how to dress and I definitely don't know how to dance, not that I'll even get asked. Help your old sista out.

Oh no she didn't go there, lol.  Well, you could ask your daughter for some tips, I'm sure she'd be more than glad to help mama out.  Also, ask your husband....what would he like for you to wear?  Maybe you'll get some ideas there.

As for dance....girl, I can't dance either.  Just come on out and have a good time, but if I see you heading for the door, I'm gonna snatch you back, lol.

Look in some magazines and check out some celebrities styles or pieces that you like and incorparate a few accesories or clothing items to spruce up your wardrobe

Hershey, I ain't wearing that mess my daughter wears. lol  Lawd she has a style all her own, she is an artist, need I say more.

I was watching "The Devil Wears Prada" last night and I loved the way Anne Hathaway(sp?) is that her name? dressed.

Shoot my hubby would have me dressing all hoochiefied and I don't know about that. I only have money for Goodwill stuff not Hoochie's R Us.

Daughter is the artsy type...ok, nevamind lol.  Husband wants you all hoochied out, lol.  Oh lawd!  You can find great deals in the Goodwill, (especially in the ummm....caucasian part of town, lol).

Like Queen said...look in the mags, pick some pieces that you'd like and go from there.  I'm guessing that you don't like things are too fitted, but don't be afraid to show off a little neckline and those new curves!

Well you're only as old as you feel.  I understand about dressing conservative-alot of us big girls do, but you are getting pretty close to your goal.  Time to let loose a little.  Check out a few magazines and invest in some classic pieces. They never really go out of style. 

I guess I haven't found my sexy yet and since it's been 20 yrs since being in a club I have no idea what they wear now. I used to wear the short denim skirts and short shorts but that was when I was an athlete and I had the physique of one. It's been a long time since this body has shown some skin. lol I loved when boho chic came out and the maxi dresses because they are long. I don't mind showing off my curves but I'm just not used to it.

You keep refering yuour style to not being about the club. Now, I'ma give you an outfit that I think you would look great in this winter
Get you a sweater turtleneck, a cute lil short jean skirt some tights and a pair of flat black or brown boots with some cute accessories or change the skirt for a pair of fitted jeans

Another great thing is those a line short skirts. You want to pick out a good body part for me I think for you the no brainer is your legs or height and probably your neck and hair. So you either show off your legs and cover everything up from the waist upor be flirty wth your neckline some acceorries your hair pulled up and cover everything from the waist down. L
