Workout DVD review

A little over a week ago, I started the Jillian Michaels' 30 Day Shed Workout dvd.

This is a workout consisting of three levels: beginners, intermediate and advanced.  Each is divided into cardio, weight-work, and ab segments totally twenty mintues each. For those who are workout warriors, it may not be much, but for someone who wants a quick sweat (short of a quickie), this does the trick.

I started out thinking, "Oh, puh-lease. How bad could this be?"  I have to admit that I find myself enjoying this workout greatly.  While I'm not looking to lose any more weight, per se (I"m happy at six feet, 216 lbs), I just need to tone and condition.

If anyone else has any workout dvd's they want to review, comment on,  I'd love to see them.

Jillian tricked me!  I'm thinking..."ok, it's 20min, eazy breezy".  I was SO WRONG!  It is a challenge and will produce a good sweat.

As stated...not for the workout pro's, but definitely worth a look.

I got it a few years ago at Walmart, I think? You can also order it online at amazon.

I rent workout DVD's from Netflix all the time. One series I really enjoyed when I first started working out a couple of years ago was Carmen Electra's Aerobic Striptease. I would consider this low-impact aerobic exercise. There are 4 workouts DVD's in the series:
1. Fit to Strip (the most challenging)
2. The Lap Dance
3. Aerobic Striptease (the most fun)
4. Advanced Aerobic Striptease
There is also a hip hop section on one of these, too. This workout series seems a tad hokey at first, but it is a lot of fun once you get going. Stripping is not required LOL.

I broke open my hip hop abs dvd today - it was fun!!!!  I like that kinda shiot tho - dance w/ my exercise.  I did a cardioke thingee off of on demand last week - that was da DEFNESS!!!!!

I might get into this dvd at home thing - the gym is STILL too jumping for my taste - I got about another month and a half to ride out the new years fools - so I have been looking for workout alternatives.  the 30 day shred is on the on demand menu - i might have to check that out......

I don't just have issues, I have subscriptions!  I'm saving on the newsstand price.......
