Sleep - post WLS.......... (warning: long)

Sorry #1mm. No more hydrocodone. I am typically anti medications. I think it all a conspiracy..anyways...I go between my Ambien Cr (only becuase I have to take it) and over the counter.  I like regular Ambien better becuase it puts you to sleep much quicker and with out the next day grogginess but insurance always write and recommend that I do the generic Ambiem. Ambien CR does not come in generic. When I had regular Ambien 10mg generic, I would have to take 2. When I asked for brand name Ambien 10mg, It worked fine but then insurance letters started appearing.

I have to read the over the counter very carefully becuase the active ingredient must stay 50mg or it is not working for me. I cant take a over the counter the night after I have taken an Ambien becuase it makes me wired, no sleep, itchy, weird feelings. I have to do the switch on a weekend when i can go a night with out anything.

I want to kick the Ambien habit becuase I could do other things with $60 per month. The over the counter is only $8 but take 30-40 minutes to put me to sleep as opposed to the 15 minutes ambien takes. I think after this refill I will cal it quits for real. There has to be a better way.

i wonder why the sleepless thing is so prevailent?   Not that I have ever suffered from it but it seems many do.  Any solutions?
