Not that I live for a drink, but  every now and again when I am out with the girls or with my husband ,I have a ****tail or two.

Is it 100% true that those days are over for ya girl?

my surgeon told me to wait 1 year or 6 months at the least before having a drink.  I only do girlie drinks like daiquiris and margaritas and those things are are full of sugar.  I found recipes for sugar free ****tails so when or if I'm ready I'll try them out.  I just want to make sure I don't do the transfer addiction thing.

My surgeon said no alcohol for the 1st year post-op.  You can have it later on, but also keep in mind that alcohol is loaded with sugar and empty calories....not very conducive to weight loss at all.

Lol well drinks are empty calories so its a waste ofspace. I think I was about 8 months before I had my first sip and trust me it was just that --a sip. I was drunk after two sips of wine. I don't drink that much so Ifireuged I can live without it because I don't want to get used to the quick buzz.

I have a friend who had any RNY about 5yrs ago.  We have nicknamed her the "Worlds cheapest drunk" b/c more than a thimble's worth of liquor will send her flying high...

I on the other hand (pre-surgery), am able to drink most "under the table" and not bat an eyelash...Am I going to have the same problem with the sleeve?  Not that I intend to...just curious...

I had my first drink while in ATL at the M & G, I'd just turned 6 months. I ordered a Tequilla Sunrise at the mexican resturant....I wont say I was toe up....but I was was sho nuff toasted for a while after only about 2 ounces of the drink. OMG!!! Since then I've drank a few more times and realized that 2-3 ounces is about my limit before I start dancin on poles and shiot.
