Liquid diets are so hard. Sometimes we just feel the need to chew something! The best thing is not to let that one slip up lead you down the road of constant cheating. Get back on that horse.  Your doctor will be pleased on that operating table.

I was able to eat a small piece of apple.

What types of liquids are you able to drink?

Perfect timing!

I start the "garden diet" on this Sunday and my surgery is the 5th; which means I'll be on it for two weeks. It consists of all liquids but I can have 4-6 cups of veggies but no meat.

Has anyone had to do this before?

Nevertheless, don't beat yourself up about it; just get back in the game.

Dont beat yourself up girl.  I don't recall doing a liquid diet before my surgery almost 3 yrs ago.  Anyhow, I just wanted to say that you could have eaten waaaay worse things.  Good post op food choice though.  Hang in there girl. Today is a new day!
