Hi BAF. Everything went well. Thanks for the prayers. I am now having problems with getting my protein in. I been having a lot of gas so I feel full and is not really getting hungry.

Did you also have problems getting in all your protein and water in the beginning? any tips.

Thanks in advance.

i dont really have any tips, however being gassy 4days post op is normal. All you can do is sip sip sip and not try to drink too fast (that's painful)  I didnt feel like eating anything either but i knew in my mind it's what i had to do... so get to sipping and  congratulations to you

I didn't do protein for at least 10 days per doctor's orders. I was on clear liquids for the first 10 days and I probably would have  at the thought of dealing with those thick arse shakes.

Water was hard. I sipped ALL DAY LONG and I still found myself coming up short. In time, everything will fall into place. Have you tried SF Popsicles or jello? Those are counted as liquids also.

Congrats on becoming a loser!

oh yeah i forgot about the sf popsicles... I left them at my house. I will go pick up some today for here since I am at my parents house. I did not know they count as water though. Thank you. I am about to make the jello right now.

Congrats on your surgery!  At 4 days out, you're not going to feel hungry.  Heck, you may not feel actual hunger for up to 6 months out (according to my doc).  Just focus on staying hydrated and walking away that gas.  Make yourself as comfortable as possible and REST!   The protein will come in time.

thanks Woo, I started out good with the walking. I was even walking the night of the surgery but that gas kicked in and started kicking my butt... lol. I am going to do better today though. I am going to try to get on the treadmill 3 times today and walk for about 10-15 minutes. And if I have no problems with that increase it tomorrow.  But thank you. And how have you been feeling lately?

I'm doing really well!  Thanks for asking.  I need to start exercising more regularly... but aside from that, I haven't really had any issues.  The gas was a trip though!!!

Congrats again, Sweetie!
