Mr Baker
I went to Dr Spivak, cost was $20,500.00 for the surgery and $1,500.00 for the GI test (too see if I had bacteria in my stomach (they just wanted extra money,) They found no damn bacteria, I could have told them that. The only thing they were gonna find was some big macs, fries, coke, and lays chips lying around.
It was very easy. I called his office to confirm price, went to seminar, did consult (oh yeah that was another $150), told him I already did the six month **** my iron was really low, wanted me to wait to get that up, said it could take a few months, but I took the check to them a few days later and iron was forgotten all about. Surgery was scheduled within 2 weeks of me 1st making contact with the office.
Not the best way to pick a surgeon, but I am a risk taker and wanted the surgery really bad and had a co worker who I had just found out was having the lap band from him the same week as me. Dr Spivak reported that he had no pts die and that was good enough for me, and I firmly believe that no one dies before their time. if it were my time then so be it. I am totally comfortable with the concept of death. i do want to be around for the sake of my 2 boys but when its your time to go its just your time.
In the end it all worked out great. 220 pounds great.

i'm real chill, gotta be the life of the party when you fat, takes the attention off the weight.
I saw the Maxwell post but i cant stay up that late. I get sleepy as hell. I cant stay up late. Ironic, I cant sleep either. I get sleepy as hell but if I try to lay down w/o a sleep aide I just toss and turn and my eyes are wide open, but as soon as I get up, sleepy all over again.
I was a way more out going fat person than I am now. Before, I moved like I was light as a feather. Friends used to be surprised that I could keep up. I am sluggish all the time now. I chuck down these iron pills like they candy. I do 4 per day but I am really considering the shots. I am way too sluggish.

Well, me and my sibiling are trying to figure out a plan for my mother....We got to do something and i'm gonna run this past them I thought it would be something around that cost. We are in Arkansas so it might be a stack or two more. Might take a lil begging here and there but for Mamma its worth it...
MM, let me borrow some money.....so I can help my Mamma out......the rest of yall two can help the Baker's out send donations to me!
Good looking out......

I still shop at the fat girl shops (Avenue mostly) becuase they carry tall. It is getting more difficult becuase like #1mm said in an earlier post they begin looking at you with a frowned up face when you ask for a smaller size. I can do shirts anywhere as long as they are short sleeves. Catos pants run long sometimes. i like Macy's for sweaters and blouses. I hear that JC Penny's carry tall in the catalog but somehow the catalog talls are not my tall. I have recently found a few web sites that state they sell "real" tall items but they are very expensive and I do not like ordering clothes. I have learned over the years and have had to send too many things back and I HATE FEES. I HATE FEES. Did mention I HATE FEES? So when I do order anything it will usually include free shipping.
Surprisingly, I do not like shopping now that I am half the size. I loved shopping when I was bigger. I would just go into Lane, Avenue, Catherines grab up all the 32 talls and hit the register. i have to actually try on things now. Well Lane only went to 28 but it was till easier for me.
