"Sitting on my chest" just about sums it up.  Imagine swallowing a whole boiled egg . . .

Pasta and fish are two things that I also get stuck on, and if it's microwaved . . . all hell gone break loose.

No pasta for me! Thanks again for responding to my post. The microwave will surely dry it out!

Stuck feels like death.........lol

Sometimes when food gets stuck   you may feel a pain in your shoulder ( from what I rememeber the dr saying this is due to muscles that the band is attatched to) , or like you have a golf ball in your throat.  When my band was too tight, I  have gotten stuck off  just basic liquids before. Noodles is pretty hard thing to eat with the lap band and with  good restriction. I have found that most starches are very difficult to get down. I just had to go back and read....and u are only one month out. I would try and avoid things like any type of  noodles, rice, french fries as it can hurt your stomach something awfull.  Replace those noodles with a vegetable, its kinda good to start your bad journey with good habits in the beginning, because the further down the line you get with restrictio it becomes more difficult. If at any time you feel like its too tight, call your dr.

Perhaps they should not place it in the soft category. I am have been way wrong on the food choice. I get my first fill on 1/27 so I know that noodles wont make it!

gurl...when you truly experience stuck you will not have to ask what stuck feels like...i promise...but stay away from the pasta...at least for now. my dr didn't let me or should i say reccommend that i have pasta again until i was six or so months out. good luck to you on yr journey..

Stuck is very painful in your chest and it hurts like hell.  I remember when i was on soft foods, I made tuna and was going to eat just the tuna, but when making the kids a sandwich the bread was so soft and enticing.  One bite and I have not eaten bread since.

Chile, let me tell you I was rolling on the floor screaming saying "God please if ou let me live from this I will never do it again"

You doc should have told you NO bread, NO pasta, NO rice.  Eventually you will be able to sample and test your band but wait until you have been in it 6 months.  Follow the rules in the beginning (OK maybe 3 months)

Working on me - want to be better in everyway not just physically!!!  Its a process no time to judge or be judged!!!!

Well I can do breads in 2 weeks. I have never tried that, but I also now that being off carbs for that long does cause you to be way tired. I think I should really stay away for awhile.

Thanks!

For me, being stuck feels like an elephant is sitting on my chest  -- it's a miserable feeling.  Noodles always get stuck, so I quit eating them.
