"I wanted to feel better and I do"

That is a given as I have clarified, I am not making such a drastic change just to do those things it is all for better health BUT these are added bonuses.

My post may have been misunderstood or maybe I should of clarified more clearly. Better health and longevity is of coarse my ultimate goal and a given for this journey or I would not want to put my life at risk to change my weight issues. My list is exactly what your last statement says...I am looking at the fringe benefits as vain and I am fine with that. I am making a drastic decision to better my health and those things are like the cherry on top. I am a fantasy freak, not sure if I would every grow big enuff balls.

My #1 motivation is to get these knees together. Going to the movies, airplane rides, or dancing all night always had me in pain up to the following day. These 40+ pounds I've lost have helped A LOT but we're still not all the way there yet.

I always wanted to be "that girl" at the gym. The one effortlessly running on the treadmill for at least a half an hour. Well I'm on the couch to 5K program and doing well, so that's a goal in progress.

I like your list...You mean my knees can too,one day be together???
I use to be a all night dancing fan until my knees started giving out... This was the point of my post to get others whimsical and chrry on top motivations. Congrats on the 40lbs. I know you will be "that girl" in the gym and you know they will also call you "that *****" But shake it off and step off that treadmill like it was a painless effort and bounce pass the haters as they scoff at you.
So Blessed!

My motivation really was starting a family. All the doctors told me that my infertility was due to my weight and if I lost it I would begin to have normal cycles and ovulate. However, NOW I want to wait on the babies for a couple of years and enjoy this body. Also, I ALWAYS cross my legs now. Before if I crossed my leg my belly would be smushing my lungs

I agree with you Queen..starting a family was part of my motivation.  I was told I would be on dialysis by 35; and to my knowledge once you are on dialysis having children or being pregnant is frowned upon.

But other things on my list..

1.  Wear a pants suit (along with a vest, suit jacket, the whole nine)

2.  Cross my legs

3.  Shop at Lane Bryant and Old Navy (completed this)

4. To drive and not get choked up by the seat belt (scared I would be decapitated if I got into an accident).

5.  Wear high heeled shoes taller than 1 inch

I have such an extended list now...lol... I am stealing your #4 and 5!!! I am so each time I come here to learn I am not the only person who struggles with these things. When I have my big winter coat on I can barely click the seat belt and have to put the passenger belt in the driver clip so it won't keep buzzing.

At first I thought I may not have clarified my post but I now know it was understood. I am so stealing this and adding it to mine. I am in the same boat and I just took it as I would never have children but your post is a reminder that this too can now be MY BIGGEST and MOST IMPORTANT goal for getting this weight off and becoming healthier. Thank You for sharing. Girl, I was past the smushing lungs phase years ago I may keel over if I attempted it today. Enjoy that body GF you deserve it. Have you seen changes in your cycle? I will keep you in my prayers. I may be older than you so My goal thanks to A LA Halle Berry is to hopefully be pregnant no later than 38 I have 2 years to loose and 1 year to enjoy...lol...
