Any Knitters or crocheters on BAF?

You'll are making me wish I would have learn while sitting in the hospital years ago.  But that something I never wanted to do but always wanted something knitted or crochet.  It was easy to get when my Aunt in New Orleans was still living.  But here you can't find anyone that does it.
It like sew some people just don't appreciate the time people put into things. And don't want to pay the price so the few people that does just do it for family.  And I can understand where they are coming from even with my DD I put hour into making a baby layette for the 1st grand baby (went to the fabric store and took hour to make it difference from others) At the baby store as much as I made would have cost her over 250.00 and she is yet to tell me what she done with it. And I have 10yds of fabric to make a quilt for a twin size bed out of that fabric.  She PG again if it a boy/girl, he/she is only getting 2 blanket like the second GD and that's it. It to timing for people not to appreciate other crafts.  People just don't appreciate others talents I love to sew and have been sewing since I was 10. Shoot I was going to take it back and sell it on EBAY. Her HB asked her what she done with it in front of me she still never saided the only thing I see in each girls 2 blankets.  I use to make blankets for the niece and friends daughter even stop that.  We have no fabric store here and Wal-mart fabric is nothing cute.
