If so:
1. How long have you been doing it?

2. Who taught you how?

3. What are you working on right now?

Ok, I've been knitting since 3rd grade (40 years ago)and the nuns taught me.  I taught myself to crochet about 10 years ago.  Right now I'm making fancy dishclothes for my sister.

1. I've been crocheting since 1982.

2. A classmate from 4th grade - MaryDelaCruz...yeah, that was her first name.

3. Piecing a quilt and I'm making jewelry (you should see my medic alert bracelet).

I haven't knitted in years. I took the easy way out last year and purchased a loom. I may have to take a class at Jo-Ann's soon.

Can you describe the medic alert bracelet.? Is it blinged out?

I want to learn how to quilt.  I have pieces that were my great-grandmothers and she never put them together.  Maybe I'll try a class.  Do you have a Micheals and/or an A.C. Moore?

Not too blinged out...I just switched out the chain for Swarvoski crystals. I have to make sure that in an emergency they know what it is.

I usually frequent Jo's because of fabric. But I will go to Michaels when I get a coupon in the mail.

BTW.....My original response came from my old profile that I need to delete....too lazy and cold to do it.

My aunt taught me how to crochet when I was around 12/13...I am not making anything currently and never finished anything but may start back up...I started sewing classes 2 months prior to surgery and will be picking that up again soon.

Het Gorgeousla:

Congrats on your weight loss thus far.  I have so many unfinished afghans it's a shame.  Sewing is the greatest.  I haven't done it since home ec in high school.  Whenever I go JoAnns for yarn, I love to visit with the fabric.

Hey thurr Frenchie,

I crochet and love it...relaxation to the 10th power.

I've been crocheting since the age of 7.

It is a gift from God. As a kid my sister and neighborhood friends took lessons from a teacher at our school. The teacher would not allow me to take lessons because she felt that I was too young to teach. As a result I had to sit out in the hallway for the hour once a week to wait for my sister and friends to finish.

I KEPT pestering my mother to buy me a crochet hook and a skein of yarn. She finally gave in to shut me up and that was all she wrote.

I am currently working on hats. Once I move, I plan to launch a hat hustle for extra cash. Here are a few pics of some that I made for a friend.

2. Purple and Gold by request. Front and back view. A different flower.
