What do *YOU* mean when .....
gurl please. write for the advanced students, the rest of us will just hafta find a way to keep pace LOL.
seriously - you think there's comprehension problem in general b/c of slang or saying it *southern* or hayle just the way it sounds? 1) i don't think i've come across anybody (joyce leave the room please) LOL! (Luh you GURL!!) who is hard to understand once you read it in context and 2) people answer the OP so even if you really can't make it out you get it from what somebody says back to them and 3) sometime it just aint that dayum serious - the other day kim said an ole-time saying ".....don't think that fat meat is greasy" now look, not errything is for erryone, it's okay, we'll explain after class but we'll keep it pressin in here regardless.
this might belong in the pet peeve column but it's the only thing that makes the corner of my eye twitch: lose (not loose)
o/t - when is somebody gonna just start a rant-n-raves-thursday thread and get it da hayle over with? LMAO!!!! this was fun!!! thanks gurl

Not sure if it is because I am fluent in SLANG or I am a writer LOL
I am an avid reader, I love reading books by Zora, Maya, etc.
Those books are written in DEEP Southern Grammar......It would be impossible for some to understand, but I feel embraced when I read them......really.
So yes, I read, write, and speak it all LOL ~I just can't hear it ~
I focus not on my disabilty; my focus is on my ABILITIES.
