Don't you hate...when

If you're gonna quote me quote me correctly...I NEVER said that. My reasons for not getting the RNY have always been the same, and never included those two. I have stated that I like the post-op eating life of the DS but never said "so I can eat whatever" because  I can't.

I hope one day to have more African American DSers because I believe in this surgery and think many others could benefit from it. Lapbanders get support here, RNY folk get support her, but I have to turn to the DS board with questions. Hopefully one day I can be support for some new DSers on this board. I WILL continue to pay it forward.

Last time I checked this wasn't the RNY board it was BAF and I'll say whatever the **** I wanna say here just like you do and everybody else!

Last comment. This is mostly for the benefit of any pre-op lurkers. To get the DS you HAVE to have the most discipline of all the sugeries. It is a matter of life and death. Because of the high malabsorption you have to eat 80-100g of protien a day, take your vitamins religiously, and get your labs checked as often as your surgeon requires. Most do 4 times the first year, twice the second, and annually there after. Anyone without discipline would not be a good DSer.

Whatever man - you have pushed DS as ahead of RNY - and just cause this could be perceived as a double edged sword - it's got more than one SHARP edge.  Now - not that you flat out say RNYers ain't **** - or that we will all be fat azzes in 5 years - no - but how can you comment or commiserate on a post about the RNY experience?  Didn't you get on us for not giving the full benefit of the doubt or whatever for DS?  

Co-signing?  How can you cosign saying 'Gotta love RNY' and you had DS?  I musta missed how I was supposed to get that one...... but I have been known to be slow on occasion - musta left my DS decoder ring on the kitchen table next to my vitamins.......

We'll just have to agree to disagree because I have never pushed the RNY in front of the DS. I always mention all the surgeries when someone asks about choices.

And no, I've never got on anybody for not giving the DS the benefit of the doubt. All I've ever said is some people don't research all thier options and since it is not popular it is often never considered.

If you wanna take my comment like that, again that's on you. But if you had asked me if I my intention was to be hateful before you accused me, I would have told you no.
