OT: Wednesday Bird Quiz
(Ya'll get a Bird Quiz today because of Inspire's post...)
Hey, I think most folks can put the below bird in the right "catagory" of bird. This is a bird that most folks associate with the night...and most find them kind of "spooky".
But the below bird is actually one that typically comes out in the day time. And instead of being found in forests and woodland environments...they like being out in open fields and grasslands as they hunt for food.
For those that like to go out and birdwatch, the below bird is a favorite for this time of the year. They generally come down to the United States during the middle of winter
Any guesses on what the name of this bird is???
BIRD PIMP'EN AIN'T EASY!!!

Very good QT. It is a type of "owl".
You ask a very good question. There are some species of birds that will interbreed with other birds that are close enough in relationship with each other. (Many times ducks and geese will interbreed with each other. Many warblers interbreed. I even know of a few owls that do it.). So yes...it does happen.

Didn't you tell me that there is no such thing as a Who owl ~hurt my childhood~
MV Falcon came to visit me Monday. I was so happy to see him. It seems as if he can hear me through the window too!
