BAF Members: To The Board Room Pronto! (Seriously Long)
I have to admit I've stop posting as much as I had previously. The bullshiot I had gotten into previously had nothing to do with it. From my own personal p.o.v, it has more to do with the fact that a lot of the topics coming down the pike these days don't really pertain to my interests enough to engage in conversation.
When it comes to encouragement and sharing info, I am with that. However, when it turns into an online version of "The View" or that old BET show, "Oh, Drama!", that's when I close up my piano case, say "Time to go!" and I'm out.
For example, the other day, someone put up a post wondering why people come post here. It turned into a knock of people who come here only for the "look at me" pics, or to be prayed for, or whatever. To me, it seems, like in the 3-D world, organizations have purposes. If someone wants to come in for a pat on the back or a prayer or to relate an experience...then drop back into lurk mode, isn't that their prerrogative?
Now, I guess there are a clear lack of bodies in here, but its like any other site I've ever been on. People come and people go. As with the wonderful world of 3-D, people come and go for a reason, a season or a lifetime.
For myself, I am more that willing and happy to share encouragement and information based on my own personal experiences, whether its weightloss or relationships or with life in general. I have no problem with that, as some can attest.
Is there something that can be done to facilitate more positive output here? I think there can be. I, myself, can probably be more receptive to newbies and their struggles, trials and triumphs.

I don't think folk were 'knocked' - just point made about you can't just come in to TAKE and not GIVE support - true - it's thier perogative - technically you it's your perogative to come on here and cuss a mofo out once a day...... don't make it the right thing OR a good look.......

Same goes for those who stay away and come back when they need advice. I may respond to some, but to be honest, if you are a repeat offender....one who comes back, gets the advice, then disappears AGAIN and continuously does this, I'm not gonna keep responding.

This is where I disagree w/ you bruh...I think we should still be grounded enough to laugh about b/s and also high enough to talk about something good. Feel me? I think its all apart of the big picture some topics might be about a bunch of b/s however I think its still important to put your .02 cents in. Thats what makes the board POP and interesting. So don't be so damn high and mighty to get down and talk w/ us ignant folkz...might have something good to tell ya bruh...

Just because I voice that I DO find some of what does go on both here AND in real , 3-D life and choose not to get involved doesn't make me holier than thou or whatever you'd like to term it.
