Funny thing happened when I was reading your post.....I thought you were Candy, that is why I said, I will do the Thorough Thursday tomorrow.  And just to think, I no longer drink...

I am certain that when I get through with this one it is going to be just as long.....so wait to yo lunch break  (birdman) Trina(mm), I mma try to space it out.


First of all.....Lets open the doors of the church of BAF cause after a message like that one really nothing else can be said......
but-----REPENT----and of course take up the offering for the minister that gave the message.



Inspire you said what I have been trying to say for 5 years........

When I came to the board....It was because of something that I read from Denise M. in GA.  Her struggle touched my heart....

I got here and I was embraced by Cookie, VeeNix, NitroMike, Ms.Nae,QueenJ..DimpleDonna,DolphinDedee....as I continued. AS..Freebutterfly, BrownSugar,KittyKat, Nisey Lee, C.J. were always encouraging.....There were many others and they mostly still here.

Jammin James, his journey , his scuba accident...MizD and her straight shooting....Madame Yess..and her battle against any and everything helped me know to keep going no matter what.....These are all old school people......

So my post wont be so long.....I can say this.....I have not reached my goal...but I come...not here every day....but I come....I give my damn phone number out on the board cause I ain't scared...I will talk to anybody who will listen or who wants to talk. why? first it is my nature...secondly because somebody did it for me and I would have never had the success I had without the help of my BAF friends.....

Entertainment yes.....but hell folk like Rhonda, always giving...We have had so many come through here who needed help financially and the people came through...I am still here but some many received and never sowed with time energy money or patience..  Selfish is a good word for it.

I cannot tell you how many people have ask me to be there Angel and I had to hunt them down for a report....I finally let them go...I realize some people were just afraid wanted their hand held and once that got past the initial....they were gone....
Bye Bye...I realized that they really did not want an angel.

I am 4 years out 5 years this year and my ANGEL will still get in my Arce about crazy stuff that is commitment and I appreciate knowing that caliber of people.

BAF is a blessing and a God Send there are some really good people here and I agree with you Inspire. most of the excuses we give are just that....IF You have been hurt or wounded..... think about who what and why.... and then it will really make no difference....It is time to get back to supporting, lifting, building and encouraging....makes no difference how you do it....JUST DO IT......
Thanks for this Post...It shows you care and are committed to our CAUSE....THere is not another Board on this site that can compare or will do what we do....and yes they do Byte and mimic and gather data and get the support they need for the information we provide.

wow that was really good..... im a newcomer who just recently had surgery...i enjoy coming and looking at everyones pics to see how far they have come and it gives me an oppurtunity to see what i can look like in the future.....

i really enjoy posting here because i know within an hr tops i will have atleast one post...on other boards it may takes days before you get a response....

someone said as a newbie when they came here they didnt feel welcomed...i disagree...when i posted my first im new here...in about 1 hr i had about 15 post!!! i had never felt so welcomed to a board...so i do thank all you old timers on the BAF for the things that you guys do to help all us new ones... and as for all the things us newbies dont know about that you listed...i look forward to finding out what some of them are :) everyone have a good day

Hi Inspire!

 

This is a great post and yes you were stepping on my toes (my corns hurt now).  I am one that lurks and occasional I’ll welcome a newbie.  Yes, I have gained some of my weight back (and didn’t want anyone to know) which is why I came back to BAF.  I need the advice of the successful BAFers.  I do not post allot because I feel like such a failure since I have gained 30 lbs.  I am working on getting better (I log into BAF almost everyday now).  Hopefully your post will influence me and others to post and respond more and bring BAF back to its full glory. 

(I guess I'm an old timer because I am familiar with allot of the things you wrote - I'll be 5 yrs out on tomorrow).

I am a newbie and I am guilty of lurking. However, the few times I have posted I have received very helpful information and suggestions.

BAF offers a wealth of information for me many of my questions are already answered before I get a chance to ask. It is good for me to know that there are people who have the same questions that I have that also helps me along my journey.

 

Inspire you have hit the nail on the head!!!  I think we can all take something and apply it to ourselves from your post!!!  I've been on the board for a little more than a year and still rarely respond to posts.  I'm here to stay!!!
