hey Terri!!!!!  How have you been, suga!!!!!!!???????

I see what you are saying - I mean - how much do you REALLY know a mofo when you marry them anyway?  Arranged marriages MIGHT last longer - takes time to get irritated and through with a mofo - folk do all that during the dating, then the marriage is short..... LOL!!!

I don't just have issues, I have subscriptions!  I'm saving on the newsstand price.......

Why the hell not?  We need to drop the notion of romantic love and approach marriage as a contractual agreement.  What are we seeking anyway?  Security? Protection?  Partnership?  Hell, we can get that with a general partnership.

I applaud that thinking, Terri.  I've been saying that ever since my divorce.  As un-romantic as it sounds, sometimes, a marriage these days does need to be more like a corporation than ever before.

You have to have common goals, and a means of getting towards those goals, be it raising a family, developing financial security, whatever.

Not to say NO romance is desired, for that is part of it.  But, to marry solely for love doesn't seem to work anymore.   The next marriage?  Maybe when we sign the marriage licence, we'll add L.L.C to our last names. lol

8/6 - Wouldn't the world be a happier place if everyone did what we said, when we said it?  WE would certainly be happier, and if we're happy . . .
