I was embarrassed he thought it was funny....

Ok last night hubby and I are in the bed. BTW, he is a police ofc. Anyhow, my nose is sore from blowing it too much and I may be getting a cold sore. Therefore, I rub some Campho Phenique on my nose. I glance over at him (getting ready to say good night) and notice out of my peripheral vision that he is sniffing his armpits. I am thinking to myself he just got out the shower then I hear him saying to himself maybe I need to get back in the shower it smell like a geriatric ward up in here. Then he taps me and says baby you got on Ben Gay or something because I know I just got out the shower and something is reeking in here like an old person. I showed him what I had just used on my nose, he start laughing so hard he was crying... He then said I thought I had to get back in the shower because I did not know where that smell was coming from.

Awwwww........thats whats up!!! 

Why were you embarrassed?

He was laughing so hard and couldn't stop laughing and everytime he looked my way he started laughing again.

My nose was hurting...

No.  What would have been embarrassing is if he tried to arrest you once he found out where that smell was actually coming from.
