4 Weeks Out
Hey All and Good Morning:
I am feeling good and trying to get my protein in...Had my 1st protein drink on Sunday and it was not that bad...Will try another today...I want to try the Nectar Twisted Cherry...I heard that was good...
Besides protein drinks...What did you eat at 4 weeks out? I see my surgeon tomorrow for my 1 month visit...As of 12/5 I am down 37.2 lbs...I am loving it...I go back to work in 2 weeks and am very excited because I am very bored.
Foods I crave (not to much to make me eat it): Pickles, a Hot Dog on a roll (fried w/ onions, cheese, ketchup, and mustard), a bite of pizza, shrimp alfredo, oodles and noodles to name a few...The cravings are nothing serious because I am so focused on getting healthier.
tuna w/mayo and relish and crackers was another hit for me I couldn't do canned chicken for MONTHS tho......
Ground beef and turkey might be aiight - DO NOT let anybody talk you into a roast (I don't care if it IS fall off the bone) or any other heavy beef - try it if you WANT to this early - PLEASE don't look for sympathy from me when you get 'caught up'...... LOL!!!!
Oatmeal and grits are great too - Quaker makes a protein infused brand called Weight Control - those are good - I just add splenda.....
sounds like things are going well - but you NEED to EAT - i know you're gunshy - but you can't keep your body in 'Ethiopian' mode......
I don't just have issues, I have subscriptions! I'm saving on the newsstand price.......

I got you...lol...Well I do have both flavors of the weight contol oatmeal and will try the banana bread flavor...I have a very good recipe for chili from my weigh****chers cookbook and would love to try it but I will wait until I see the Dr. tomorrow...I like eggs made like egg salad with LF mayo...I have been better these past few days...OMG I found the Dannon weight control yogurt...It is really good.
Have you had your surgical class yet? You should receive your diet, vitamin list and other useful info.
But I will tell you this.....
Sip, sip, sip...you need your water.
Walk, walk, walk....gas is a mug!
Plan on wearing comfortable clothing from the hospital.
Do not weigh everyday.
Food is still your friend - just in more nutritious and smaller quantities.
Take your time - your body needs to heal...no need to suffer a setback.
Make some WLS friends.
Congrats on your upcoming surgery!
Hi Curry,
Well actually I am 4 weeks out and it is a cool thing but it is as if you have to learn your body all over again...I have SF jello, pudding, and popsicles but I do not eat it much...
