~still crying~

Since I cannot go home for the funeral, I am sending a card and gift to my uncle and cousins to show my condolences and support. Well, I thought all last night.....about what I wanted (finally went to sleep around 2ish this morning).

So, I got to work late....(overslept) and said I will work through lunch....so on my self-made 15 minute break, I walked the mall area of the building I work in....could not see anything that said "CHRIS" ~my cousin's name~

So, head hung low, because I wanted to get it in the mail today to arrive before Wednesday, I felt defeated. I decided to cheer me up by trying to find those suede boots in TJ Maxx.........when I walked in the store, there it was....setting on she SHELF....I CRIED IN TJ MAXX!

My auntie and her daughter (both deceased) love African stuff....the house has African masks, all types of lions and stuff; right? They love it so much, my cousin had an African themed wedding. Sitting on the shelf, was an African figure.....4 men.....one towers over the other 3 all knelled in an embrace.  ~Yawl, I was bawling in TJ MAXX~ I lifted up the bottom and read "made in Kenya".....I did not even look at the price....I knew FOR ONCE price was not gonna matter, even if we eat air sammiches tonight.

That figure, ~sigh~ says it all.  Chris is like 5'4 with shoes on (I meant was). The other brothers, the shortest of the others at least is 6'1 or 6'2. But Chris always towered over everyone with his HEART....his contagious LAUGH....his PERSONA.

I can't wait until they receive it.

I am sooo glad I went in there and YES, they had the shoes and NO, I did not buy them. (YET)

dedee after OUR talk I am so happy for you

Be more concerned with your character than your reputation, because your character is what you really are, while your reputation is merely who others think you are!
