I love the skin I'm in

So, I have absolutely fallen in love with my brown skin since I went bald. Oh my in all my life I have never had soooo much self love. Seriously, so I can't stop taking photos or forcing my husband to take my photo and well I just wanted to share because I am realllllllllly happy and proud to be just what I am these days. Black bald and beautiful. I will try to refrain from public posts and leave it to my blog because the line between self love and conceit can be blurred at times. Just love yourself and the color that is us and all the many shades we come.

( Oh I left out I had weekend with powerful, inspirational black women so I am still high from that)

Powerful post!!! It took me a minute to get to where you are. Growing up, I felt like my dark skin and kinky hair where the WORST. Couple that with my Big ole nose that was spread all across my face and I thought I was the ugliest thing walking. LOL. I think I was in high school when I began to be like f**k it I'm going to work with what I've GOT. LOL. I love my the color of my skin, love that my hair is kinky and I can wear it in many ways. Even love my nose now that I've grown in to it. LMAO. Hell, I am concieted and I will admit it and don't think there is a DAMN thing wrong with it. Now what I am not is arrogant.

I say all that to say, it's cool to be conceited shoot. I can be conceited and recognize and compliment beauty in others as well.

I was once a mess!! My mess is now my message!! WLS saves lives!! I'm living proof!

See I got you... but i think I was just a little behind by nearly 15 years. I am 30 it is a long time coming. I always looked at the girls who were darker than me and think wow if I could have skin like them I would be sooo happy. I ain't even lying we grew up in a very close knit group and it just seemed that all the darker sisters, cousins, play cousins and of course our moms were so strong and beautiful I wanted it sooo bad. But, now today....don't stop the show I love me just as God made me.
