Hair Loss

This has been discussed on another board, but I didn't know if it happened to everyone. So I wanted to ask in this forum.

Did you have hair loss? And if so, when did it start & stop? I usually keep my hair braided, but if the hair loss is going to be an issue I didn't want to get it braided and then my hair break off or fall out.

Thanks!

I can do all things!

I had surgery almost 3 years ago,  before surgery I had nice hair and it started falling out at about 4 months out and I lost a ton of hair.  I have a lot of bald spots and I am still 3 years later waiting for it to thicken back up.

I'm going to add the question and mix it up some.  I was wondering if braiding the hair would be a help for the hair loss.  Now I realize that if it is coming out it is weaker and the braids just might make it worse not better.  I'm tring to get in front of this.

I got braids when I was about 10 months after my surgery and noticed a lot of hair loss when ZI took then out.  I would not suggest braids.  JMO

My hair started shedding like crazy a few months out.  I keep mine braided and I don't have any problems.  Remember though that you loose hundreds of hairs per day as it is, so between that and the extra shedding due to surgery when you take them out it will appear that you're loosing a ton of hair due to the fact that it's all braided up and has nowhere to go.   So don't freak out if it seems like more is coming out.  I personally don't think braids will make it break or fall out anymore than it would without them.
