So for me it is the support, the encouragement and the knowledge I need to make this journey. I actually go through withdrawal when I can't sign in and just check out how folks is doing.
I think that means I am just plain old fashioned nosy.

When I first joined BAF years ago, it was so supportive about weight loss and post-weight loss issues. I hate the place into which it has evolved.... which is why i rarely reply and damn sure don't post anymore. I still offer support but it is in a private manner and when I need or want it, I am selective about who I ask and what I ask and it is ALWAYS done in private.... I don't want an audience..... and I hate the fake personas people have created for themselves because they have/need/want an audience. It is fake and I guess it offers some entertainment value for some people; I am not one of those people so I don't partake in that aspect of it..... but the same way I am on here, is the same way I am off the board..... I'm selective about the company I keep, what I say, and to whom I say it..... people are entitled to say/do/come/go as they please....

Offended by anything here? NEVER!!! I learned how to stay out of grown folks business. I asked my niece why she had her tongue pierced, when I acted surprised about her explicit answer she told me I should not have asked if I didn't want the truth. She was correct and I apologized.
Since most of you are where you want to be it seems to be more social that weight oriented but it's obvious at the onset.
