I feel you - I am here cause I am - HOWEVER - one MAJOR reason I stay so vocal and up front is because I TRULY feel like I am a good example and help a lot of 350lb + women who come on here wondering 'can I really lose THAT much with WLS?'  When I was first on here and lurking, it was HARD for me to find an example of a BLACK woman 'heavyweight' who lost and KEPT it off.  I needed a 'validation' to know that I COULD do it and WOULD be able to 'get 'er done"........

As a former English major - it's automatic for me to assume the capitalization after the hypen - but not just in the middle of a word.  So - YEA HEFFA I can do the D and not the V unless you would like to be La-Verne.........

I'm here cuz everything I need support wise can be found on the board.  If I got questions on how to modify my favorite soul food recipe, I can get the answer here.  If I wanna know how to deal with unsupportive people IRL I can get it here, If I want to know what exercise routine gets you your results, its here too.  Also one thing on BAF I don't see quite so much on the other boards is how to adjust with the life changes, dating/relationships as a WLS pt.  I can find some fly ass outfit motivation looking at board members pics as well.

I can be a little sensitive, but I know a real friend and support person is gonna tell me the hard **** I might not wanna hear.  So please don't adjust the Mack Mama thermostat for me!
