I initially came for support.  The friendships and bonds I've made was a bonus. 
I now try to pay it forward because the encouragement and support I get is phenomenal. I would have NEVER guessed I would find the friendships that I have gained here.

I now come for the kick in the butt I need to stay on track.  

Oh....and the non-WL stuff I have learned here....another bonus. 

I feel you Kim - I have met some pretty AMAZING mofos on here - learned things about myself I would NEVER have guessed, and had folk tell me things I NEVER would have 1)thought of for myself 2) given myself credit for or 3) taken time to realize.

And yea - the rest is total BONUS!!!!

Entertainment AND to see who want to spill their guts on their personal life......  I USE to be the type who visit others in the hospital and contact for support HOWEVER I have hung up my "ANGEL" wings....

Oddly, MANY of those I have supported have dissapeared and/or ONLY stop to post new pics and or/news....You know me personally and know I am a very APPRECIATIVE person, it is just something about folks who only come around for their own "pat in the back" BUT is no where to be found when others are seeking support....And YES I am drinking this early in the day....

I feel you - I have NEVER been as supportive or 'connected' with folk as I have been since joining the board.  Folk in my 'real' life are AMAZED!  I am a general A-hole when it comes to contact, support and just being a 'friend' in general.  My BESTEST friend from high school and I drop out of contact for YEARS at a time cause *I* am chicken ****!!!!!

So yea - to be dismissive when you DO connect with a person is like 'huh'?  AND to only bring your ass around when you got GREAT news is a lil shady - cause if you 'take out' the praise, you should be here to 'put in' when advice or guidance is asked for, prayers are requested, etc.  

That irks me too Rhonda.  And I am one who will always try to give an encouraging word or a compliment....untill I realize...dayum, so-and-so hasn't been on since the last time they posted pics or had some WOW moment they want celebrated.  LOL

How can folks NOT return to others what they received....SMH

Or the one's who only post when they need help...ie:  I had surgery 2 years ago, I haven't been on the boards but help me get back on track....
