Bridal Showers?

I have a friend who is getting married real low key next month.  She never planned or wanted a huge fairy tale wedding, but she never wanted to get married in pastor's office either, so  I would like to give her something traditional  in way of a bridal shower.  Problem is I've never thrown one and I've not really been to enough of them that I even remember enough to pull one off.  Any ideas and suggestions would be welcome.

I am too ADD to read all that ****  It looks like it's a bunch of etiqutte type info.  Thanks, but that's not quite what I'm looking for.

On the contrary... there's lots of info about themes, gifts, etc.  But, I understand if it's not your bag.

Good luck anyway!

Hey QT,

First pick a location since it's lo-key you do not have to rent a large venue.

Order you cake

You can copy her wedding colors for favors decorations etc

Keep the food simple but good  you can do all finger foods or make the foods she likes.( it also depends on the time of the day if it's early brunch type foods late dinner....

Games are easy  you can have everyone recreate what they think her dress will look like with toilet paper, write a list of ?'s out about her and the groom how they met etc and whoever get's then right winswww.imagebydesign.com these are more games,,,,,

>>>one of the cool things at my shower was a book everyone wrote in giving me advice it was crazy because alot of the older women had some crazy shiot in that book.

Hope this helps!!!

Hell, watch a couple of episodes of "Bridezillas" and call it a day.  LOL>

Hey QT!!!

If she is your friend I would keep it friendly.  You also said low-key so that leaves me to believe that  her personality or cir****tances may be the same.  I would do just a small dinner party or dinner at a nice restaurant with gifts and good conversation.  When you throw showers for people it is sincerely an expression of love, care and concern.  What does she like?  What can you give her to enhace her relationship?   I could ask a thousand questions..........

One great idea that I have used at many showers is the "around the clock".  You give gifts and suggestions for your specific time frame.  Ex:  7am=Coffee maker/breakfast tray   12am=lingerie  6p=restaurant gift card.  This theme allows the guest to become involved as well and it gives a variety of gifts.  You can also ask the giver to explain their thought behind the gift or their suggestion for usage...........leads into an interesting conversation depending on the answer.
The question that I am asked most often:
 Is that your hair??????
