Do you diss Obama too or do you defend the brotha?

Lately, I've been hearing a lot of my co-workers and various "mom 'n pop" store owners talking smack about how the next 8-10 months (and possibly next 4 years) are going to be worst for Amerikkkans than they ever were under Bush.  Personally, I just don't see it that way, but at the same time I don't whip out my soapbox and start preaching on it on Brotha Obama's behalf either.  Am I dissing him on the sly because I don't?

What do you do if/when it happens around you?

I haven't heard anyone dissing him.  I do feel it will take time for him to clean up the mess that he was left with.  I think everyone that I have come in contact with expect change to come, but know it will not be a 'quick fix' (hell, look how long Bush took to get us in this mess)

I don't think things will be worse....the fact that we KNOW we are headed in the right direction gives us hope.  Like there is light at the end of the tunnel.

I don't think you are dissing him on the sly by not preaching on his behalf.  I'm confident that Obama's actions will speak volumes.  Besides, anyone who is against him becoming President is TOTALLY clueless....you can whip out the soapbox till your blue in the face and they STILL wouldn't get it.

Good morning, Kim.  Wow you're up early.  You must have one of those good gov't jobs.  If you got benefits holla at a brotha.  We can make our ends meet together.

You nut!!!!  LOL     Good morning......

No gov't job here, just a morning type of girl who likes to get off work at 1 or 2 in the afternoon.
I love flex time!

You're up early too...at work or still at home?

I was at home when I started this thread but I'm at the J-O-B now trying to bust up the schiff-A-robe for Mr. Cholly.  I didnn't sleep well last night.  The devil must've been busy, as my grandmother would say.

I can only holla if I got benefits?  Yeah, I'm a little slow, I didn't see that when I replied the first time.  LOL

That's just part of my call-back criteria.  Benefits let me know a sista is serious.  I can't be with no triflin' heffa who just wants to lay on her back and spend my loot.  Hell-to-the-nah!

Goodmorning,
I feel like Kim.  Obama will make a change but it will take some time and he had a long hard road to travel but I feel he will prevail.  I don't discuss him too often because politics is like sex everybody has their own particular preference.

I agree.  I prefer sex with the lights off and my shoes on.  Or is it the lights on and my shoes off?  It's been so long I forget.
