I am addicted to this show and as they are introducing the new season'ss conrtestants one VERY large guy states he had a RNY already. AS someone getting surgery again tomorrow related to my original WLS it scares the hell outta me to see someone not work their tool to the best. I wish i knew what it would take to not be one of those people.
Michelle so odd you would post in regards, I have NEVER watched this show but so happen to tune in tonight....
To answer what it takes to be an successful WLS or just a person who is sucessful with losing the weight AND keeping it off is a LIFESTYLE change... I always at awe when I pick up a magazine or read a story on-line about people who lose xxx pounds WITHOUT surgery. Just remember LIFESTYLE and you will do just fine....

Michelle, if you know what it takes to work your tool, try not to get too scared. It's a process and a life change. From what I hear, the main thing is to stay really compliant in the losing phase, and to really work hard to lose the 10-15lbs that might sneak back on periodically.
You can do this! I hope your surgery goes well and your recovery is quick.
