Mexico - Dr. Aceves/Dr. Alvarez
(I have to say, you guys are HILARIOUS!!!) Back on topic, I have been researching long enough to feel comfortable that both doctors are great and highly recommended, but I would really like to get the Black perspective on experiences with surgery in Mexico and, more specifically, surgery with these doctors.
Any insight you guys can provide would be great. Even if you didn't have the VSG, that is fine....I am more concerned about about the overall surgical experience.
Thanks in advance - for the responses and for all the smiles that you guys give me....because every day WITHOUT FAIL yall post some off the wall ish.
HOWEVER - I have heard quite a lot of good things about some Mexican and South of the boarder docs - I think there is a forum on here for that and/or a lot of folks in the main board got feedback.
Good luck to you!!!! Don't be a stranger!!!

Mack Mama,
I definitely won't be a stranger....I think I am hooked now...I tell you, y'all crack me up.
Re: the other boards - I live on those, as well. I stay on the VSG board and the Mexico board. I really want to hear from some "colored folk" on how their experiences were. Not that I don't put credence in everyone's experiences...because absolutely I do....but, I just want to hear as much as I can from as many perspectives as I can....
You know there's only 17 days left to use that word, right? I mean, after the 20th.....THANGS GON CHANGE up and around THIS camp! LMAOOOOO

I am also pre-op and will be going to one of those two doctors in April of this year. They seem to both have great reviews from patients. I've been on OH for approx. 6 mos. now. and one of the things that I did notice is that Dr. Alvarez patients typically report that they don't have any or very little pain after surgery. I like that. Anyways good luck with your research !!
