I would be happy he isn't trying to rush into anything.  He is so young and has plenty of time to get serious about someone.  Five months really isn't that long for their age.

He is using dating as it should be used....to find that special someone.  If she isn't the one, it's time to move on.  At least he isn't stringing her along, getting her hopes up.

I've been married so long when I was out there it wasn't even called a game.  However I believe respect and attentiveness would be my choice of affection.  Honestly it last longer than that romantic love.  If most things are going good I would stay with the relationship.

IMO many are looking for that perfect setup and there are none.  At five months and young, most have stronger feeling for their dog, tennis shoes, computer games or car.

There is no such thing as a "time frame" when it comes to affairs of the heart...like mack said, u could be with someone 30 years and not fall in love with someone....on the other end of the spectrum, you could meet someone and in 30 seconds fall for that person.

Tell, me, T: didn't ur son see those qualities from the beginning?  I'm sure they didn't come overnight.   If not all of the qualities, at least some of them?

His leaving may break her heart, but better now than to prolong it, no?

I guess he seen them but tried to overlook them and hope it would get better.  But, I am glad that he is making his own decision to do what is best for him.

Then, he had to do what was best for him.

No time frame.. I PERSONALLY know a couple who only knew each other for 2 weeks and have been married for almost 40 years. I know another couple who dated for almost 15 years and barely made it 5 years married...

Not every relationship lead to love and some times folks pretend that they are because they think after a certain time, they should be.....Kudos to your son for knowing the difference.
