New to BAF
Hello all. I have been lurking for a week or two and posted once. I thought I would intro myself. I am Chagrin and was banded on 12/17/08. I have lost about 14 pounds so far and looking to see more come off!
I did have questions...
I am in my pureed phase and would love to know any suggetsions on food variation. This can get boring!
Also...if you can comment, how many of you had spouses or bofriends that did not support you on having the sugery and what did you do???
Talk to you all soon!

Welcome to BAF.
Puree stage, it been so long ago, let me think..if you have a food blender, anything thing can be made puree with a little broth,
Take some bake chicken, put some broth with it and put in the bullet/blender and blend it good.
Take some chicken, potatoe and broth do the same. The purpose of the puree stage is to make sure your stomach does not have to work so hard to digest the food, while the band heal around your stomach but you can be quite creative with your selections.
Congrats on your surgery.
My SO at the time was not supportive..he is history, but not because of no support, he should have been out the door prior to surgery.

No, he got the boot soon after the surgery.
If your spouse is bringing you cookies and cake, that is not being unsupportive..that is being down right mean and sabtoging you. You need to let your spouse know that that is a NO NO, it it might not be tempting now, but later it could be. Want to know how to make that person stop....while it not tempting..when they give it to you....Throw it in the trash right in front of them.

Welcome! I agree with the other post that anything with broth or water can be pureed. I did mostly tuna, eggs, refried beans and blended weigh****cher meals(it was kinda like baby food but it was aiight lol)
My husband was supportive of the surgery however there was adjustments that we both had to make and are still making as our lives changed but he still around. I would strongly encourage you to determine why he didn't support it (was it because of risk for your life or out of intimidation on the changes you were going to make to your physical body) depending on why he's not supportive then you can figure out how to handle it.
