Yup,
Just like a man to sleep with a woman, leave her, kill himself, then donate his heart to her so she can live.

I tell you, I do that type of thing everyday.  lol

I was the weepy sap at the end of the movie with tears running down my face. His love for her was so unexpected and strong that he could not bare to let her die, he would have felt responsible for her death as well as his fiance's from before (they never actually got married, he had just given her the engagement ring when they had the accident.) Every time he heard he doctor say that her situation was getting worse he would initiate the next step to his plan. After he made love to her  he realized just how much he loved her and when he ran to ask the doctor her prognosis and was given such a grave report, he felt he could not risk another moment because her heart could fail at any moment. Remember when he was laying there watching her sleep and he could see the effort of her heart beating even at her throat which was a sign of how hard her heart was working, he already knew that it was enlarged, he had watched her all evening laboring to breath to do the smallest things.
I thought it was a great movie; even my date for the evening had to admit it was good because initially he did not want to see it but gave in to me.

YES WE CAN!
I will never consider myself a failure...unless I stop trying.
If you fall 7 times; make sure you get up 8 !

My lady and I LOVED the movie.  It was one of those that we discussed for a while afterwards to get into all the details.  We couldn't figure out the meaning of the title at first, either.

What is the meaning behind the title 7 Pounds?

The title "7 pounds" is derived from the expression "pound of flesh" which in its original meaning refers to a terrible burden or debt which has to be repaid by whatever mean. Originated in Shakespeare's play Merchant of Venice, 1596.

In this case Will Smith's character feels that he has to pay a pound of flesh for each of the seven lifes lost in the car accident for which he felt that he caused.

Rhonda, you should have watched the movie first, without knowing what it was about!

Point of the movie- He was responsible for causing an accident that killed seven people...You see at the end he was checking his text and hit the bus...He felt the need to give back life to seven people and that is what he did by helping the 7 people...
