If a username is shaded in black and you cannot click on it

does it mean that you are not able to communicate with the user? I recently sent a friend request to someone whose name appears this way, and then when I checked my sent messages, the request did not appear.

Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks! N

Black mean that they have their profile set as private, you can still communicate by clicking on "contact" on a post that you see them and send them a pm asking to be added to their list.

If their profile is set for friends only, you can click on it but it will inform you that that person was not found.

I have learned that a lot of folks on here do not want to hear what YOU have to say. They want you to SAY WHAT they want to hear.
