The fashion industry ain't SHIOT!!!!!

It occured to me today that the damn fashion industry is full of shiot...... WHY is it that women's sizes go in 2s?  Why is it 18/20?? - how th **** the same **** fit 18 fit 20???  I feel like a pair of Sophia's pants outta the Color Purple..... 'how is a pair of pants fits her FITS ME'?????

Are we really the size these mofos say?  I mean, now that I am in 8/10 (yes, yall - them 8s is coming back!) I am thinking I am really a damn 10 or even 12 for real..... all these different cuts and **** why the hell can't the damn size just be the size!!!!!

MEN on the other hand..... they measure them mofos by the inches.... 28'' waist is a 28'' waist.... you can't **** up an inch...... the only thing men deal with is the CUT of things......

I think this **** is a set up - it fuels the image conflict and keeps the bull**** going....... ok - that's the end of my ponderment/rant.  But you feel me???

it is called vanity sizing.

I was all hyped and **** to get to the 8/10 - but that **** ain't all that different from 12 or even 14!!!  it is really not THAT small......

You are right, this is why I think it is so important for folks not to get so caught up in the size that they let it mess with their mind, the most important thing is, how do you look in those clothes and how do you feel.

I have from size 8 to 14 in my closets, I even have one pair of 6 in there. I made my goal a number in pounds but not a certain size just because of this reason

I feel ya MM! But honestly right now I don't care WHAT size it is as long I don't go back to the plus size! I wear size 8,10, AND 12's.

When I was in my early 20's,  I worked at a very fancy spa and they sold clothes in there and they size those big ass clothes with small tags, so a size 16 woman comes out thinking she is a size 8.   I am not kidding you I wore a size 14 in regular stores and there I wore a size 6 it was that huge of a difference.  

Those rich ass women would come in there and spend TONS of money on a head job cause that is all it was.   Those labels gave them a feeling they weren't getting in regular stores and they loved it.

It's a conspiracy.  I purchase my suits from K&G and they are one size a 14 -- not a 12/14 but a 14 --which sometimes when I get some of the slacks home they are probably really a 12.  But it's a conspiracy to play mind games.  What do some of us do -- we take a 12 and a 14 into the dressing room and try both on -- a conspiracy to waste our time --either by trying on the garments or taking them home and have to take them back if they don't fit.

Yep, I feel you.  That's why I hate shopping.  I don't go purchase an outfit unless I absolutely need one.

I wear a size 10 in pants but when it comes to wearing suits. It depend on the cut of the jacket not the skirt I still can wear the 10 skirts but the jackets I have to buy some 10.12. and if I like it good enough maybe 14.When I but those 12, and 14 the skirts are to large I can turn them around with out no trouble and wiggle out of them.  It just what it is . my bottom is finally smaller then the tops, when I was bigger the top was more larger. yeah go figure it time for me to get to the machine.

I wear between 8 and 12 depending on ...whatever. I never wore between a 32 and 34. I wore either a tight 32 or a tight 34

I've seen your pictures you look good..8, 10, 12. Honestly, I dont think its12. you look really thin from the pictures I've seen

Question... if it was an 8 would that be enough...would you want to be a 6  

You pose a GREAT question..... when I first got into an 8 - I wanted a 6 - JUST to see.... but now - as I have been this size for a couple months - I LIKE IT a LOT!!!!  actually got comfortable.... so I want to keep it there - but NEVER see a 12 or 14 for ANY reason......
