Don't snack mindlessly, incorporate snacks into your day at certain times.  Make good choices.  SF Popsicles, the cream cheese recipe (i'ma have to try that), make up some protein pudding, I love Havarti cheese (that stuff is sooo good), thin sliced salami or pastrami.  And as crazy as it may seem.....I snack on crushed ice all day long!  It satifies my urge to chew plus I get my water in!
Life is not about making it through the storm....but learning how to dance in the rain.

I was never a tv watcher, but it seemed that the tv showed every single delectable bad food choice known to man, so I turned off the tv, went for a walk, talked to people, found anything to do to get my mind off food... sugar free popsicles helped as well.... but you are very early out - once your weight starts pouring off you, chile' that urge will go away..... remember Candace, it's in your mind..... if you can overcome your mind and your old habits, you will win!!! Congratulations on your weight loss, I am happy for you and excited about all the wonderful new things coming your way!!!
edited to add: what Trina said about finding healthy snacks or snacks that would work in your favor is KEY!

If you like apple sauce then buy the ones that come in pre-packaged individual containers already.  Tell yourself that once you've eaten one then that's it.  Make it your new policy.

When I have the urge to snack; I eat a spoonful of peanut butter or eat applesauce!  It takes away the craving and the snacking for something sweet.  I also eat cheese and a slice of turkey.
