Quiestion!!!

How did/do you guys deal with saying no to yourself in the beginning?  I am not craving anything in particular...Just curious as to how you dealt with the urge to snack!!!


I want to do my very best with this...so many of you have done so well!!!  What were some of your tricks if you can call it that!

Candace I am new to this but when I want to snack a SF popcicle is my best friend.  It takes away the urge especially for something sweet.

LOL!!  I turned my urge into urges for things that would still work for me.  Sweet stuff?  Cream cheese w/ vanilla and/or almond extract and splenda.  Gave me the cheesecake feel w/o the carb crust, plus it's a soft solid so I could lick spoons and spoons of it......

Peanut butter crackers..... when I HAD to have a carb... the peanut butter would at least give me SOME protein......

Protein bars...... tried TONS until I found the ones I now LOVE by Twisted - the pretzel part and the nougat are like candy bars to me.

I also became a cheese hound.  Found one of those fancy cheese bars in the store and chatted up the cheese expert - so I have different cheeses I snack on, and make a plate of different ones with grapes and spam.... don't laugh!!!!  It's high protein and tasty........

so those are my tips! 

I don't just have issues, I have subscriptions!  I'm saving on the newsstand price.......

I know, right???  LOL

Let the cream cheese soften up really well - then just put it in a bowl and put the splenda and flavorings in to your taste.  when you're done - put it in the bowl or whatever of your choice and rechill it.  Man-o-MAN!!!!!

Please don't come back posting about how you were in your draws at 3am standing in front of your fridge eating this stuff and it's my fault tho!!!!  LMAO!!!

GURL you already know.  You done gone an messed me up.  It's going down !!!! I just got happy as HE**.  I am doing my happy dance finally something MOFO (as you say) normal.  I struggle to figure out what I can eat at this stage that is tasty.

I was more diligient  in the beginning about it and would put timers on things I wanted well in 10 minutes I'll get blah blah then in 20 minutes I'll ge tit and so on. Now, I'll just get a bite of somethin g OR say when I finished this last bottle of water I'll get whatever.... At this point for you its all mentla read a book, do a puzzle, go for a walk you can do it.

Hey Candace..This might seem odd but my sleep study nurse told me about a guy that drank a mlikshake right after surgery and I guess it busted his incision and he died..Mind you my nurse had RNY..It scared me so much that if I think about eating something I think about the story and get scared..Right now I want a pickle sooo bad and no I am not pregnant..lol..I figure that one day I will be able to taste a pickle but not right now..
