Sobriety...

OK, so the other day I was walking down the street and slipped into alcoholism. OK, I know that was a joke, but I am not kidding. I realized the other day that alcohol had really become a problem for me. But today I am 4 days sober. I will keep everyone abreast on my progress.

If you want to join me on the Wagon (not James' wagon) the sobriety wagon, come on and join me. I knew I had a problem and I needed it fixed. So here I am sober 4 days and I don't care who know that I had a problem.....Its 2009 and its exposure time. And I have just exposed myself. Be with me family and help me as I go forward.

Exposure is half the battle. The disease of addiction (i.e. alcoholism or drug addiction) has no control if you expose it. Congratulations on your four days. Remember it is one day at a time, one minute or one second. I got chills as I read your post and realized another person was no longer willing to allow another day to be robbed by this disease. It takes courage to come out and admit defeat. My worst day in the last ten years that I have been clean don't compare to my best day high. Keep up the good work and you think GOD showed up before watch him show up and show out!!!!!

I'm with ya Treena, I drink like I used to eat (secretively and copiously) and that can't be good. I have been alcohol free since the 15th and am giving myself talks constantly.

Nothing to do with the new year BUT I did say just last week I was going to limit my alcohol intake to weekends only.... For some reason everyday I get home I want a glass of something to relax....As long as I am way from home I don't feel that way....
