Sooo...even though I'm only a week and a few days out, I was wondering if there are any pouch friendly solutions for champagne? All I know is I'm not drinking juice at midnight!

Only a week and a day?????
Girl, you better sip on some water or a protein shake!  You will have plenty more New Years celebrations to come, then you can celebrate with champagne.

Being newly postop I would say enjoy your non-carbonated, non-alcoholic pouch/bariatric friendly drink.  There will always be another opportunity for toasting but not recovering.

I'm a lapbander 2 years out and champagne will still do a number on me.  I can't imagine newly post-op and malabsorption on top of it.

Your question warrants beating this dead horse, but NO, please DO NOT drink anything carbonated or alcoholic tonight!!!  You might be surprised to know this, but the new year will pass perfectly pleasantly without you sipping or toasting on something so dangerous to you at this juncture in your healing process. Take care and re-read Kim and TAW's excellent advice - as it is some GOOD advice.... all the best!

Please do not have any alcohol...as the above have said, you will have VERY many more new years to celebrate with alcohol.  You are way too early out to be drinking....Please take heed to what everyone is saying.  I am sure you knew when you had wls you will have to give up some things to see the long term effects of your journey!  Please Please Please listen....

Have a happy Non alcoholic-non carbonated New Year!
