How are YOU bringing in 2009?

2008 has been a CRAZY  year.  We have all faced adversity, anxiety, anticipation, loss as well as witnessed history.  My emotions have been all over the place this year.  I can tell that by these extra pounds that found their way back to me.  I'm looking forward to the new year and expecting great things.  I know in my heart that Barack will help to bring about a true CHANGE in everyone.

As I reflect I'm trying to figure out just what to do tonight?  Part of me wants to go out and party - been invited to several large functions and a few smaller ones.  I'm not a real church goer so I will not be a hypocrite and go to church tonight - but I will be praying for peace, blessings and safety for the entire world.  I'm leaning towards staying right at home in the peace and quiet of my home without the kids enjoying the company of my bestest friend, da'hubby.

So what are you doing tonight?  Where will you be and who will you be with when 2009 comes in.

I hope this year brings you great things, that all your goals are reached and your life is enriched!!!

chile - I am so tired and drained, I am going to just SLEEP!!!  I can't believe I MADE it through this year right here!!!!!  So much has gone on!!!!

And it's gonna be GOOD sleep too!  LOL - I am getting my braids taken out this afternoon, so just my own head, Imma take my contacts out tonight - so nothing in my eyes - and just SLEEPPPPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!!!!

Then cooking blackeyed peas tomorrow and MORE CHILLING!!!!!  I am getting two movie DVDs in the mail today - so that's the sum total of my plans.....

oh yea!!  And I am doing my first DRY New Year's!!!! yea me!!!! no alcohol!!!!!   Just sugar free koolaid and diet sprite in a wine glass!!!!

No Reisling, No Wild Turkey, No wine - I'm so proud of you.  I'll toss back a few Absolute's for you tonight.

I par boiled my ribs last night - hubby is at  home grilling them now.  Left a pot of greens simmering when I came in to work and my sweet potatoes baked slowly last night.  Just gotta put on my Black eyed peas when I get home.

OMG - I'm getting hungry again!!
