OT: End of Year Bird Quiz

Someone said to me one winter a few years ago, when it was "extremely" cold outside.  "I know you don't birdwatch in this kind of weather."  I asked them had they ever saw the below bird...they said they hadn't.  I knew they probably hadn't seen the bird, because when they asked me that question it was about 7 degrees below zero, and that’s the kind of weather the below bird not only survives in but also thrives in.  Any guesses on the name of the below bird?

I don't know, but it's beautiful against the backdrop of the snow and I don't even like birds. No offense, but I've had a few bad run ins with birds. Now I avoid them at all costs, caged or uncaged.
