Girl - you better get excited about your age!!!  You ain't hear that 30 is the new 20?  40 is the new 30 and 70 is the new 40???  Hell - I don't wanna be young again for NOTHIN!!!!  lol

When I was 20 - I took vacations at friends' dorm rooms.  It was a NICE trip if I got the sofa and not the floor.

When I was 25 - I didn't vacation at all - new single mother, no support - was paper clipping ends together to get them mofos to MEET.......

Turned 30 and hit the glass ceiling at the job - HAD to finish my degree to get moving, had WLS to improve my health......

NOW at 33...... chile, I spent so much damn time traveling last year - I officially HATE airports!!!  Have stayed in too many HOTELS (not motels) - that I HATE em!!!  lol and am tired of rental cars too!!!!

LMAOOO - older is BETTER - time is the best teacher, blah, blah, blah.  Bottom line - you are a better you EACH year that passes - realize that shiot, embrace it and get to LOVIN YOU!!!!!!

I don't just have issues, I have subscriptions!  I'm saving on the newsstand price.......

My first two years of surgery I ate WHATEVER I wanted and STILL lost weight (although I STUCK to my doctors plan for the first six months).... That is WHY I have always said WLS was easy for ME the first two years NOW being almost 7 years post-op I can look at something and GAIN 5 pounds....

My recommendation for ALL is to start eating right and exercising at the beginning and later on down the line it want be such a "diet" or struggle to maintain.... WLS Is a Lifestyle change.....

I feel you Rhonda, mine was actually akin to 4 years but now it is real work.  I think getting our heads in shape is probably the best thing we can do for our waistline.

OK.  I just did an hour of exercise - a mixture of walking and running.  I feel better.  Sweaty but better nonetheless.  Now it's off to the showers.  Thanks for kicking my arse into gear Mack Momma.  That's just what a brotha needed on a day like today.

Following a diabetic diet plan is usually pretty compatible. They tend to eliminate alot of carbs and sugar.

Truthfully, you shouldn't be looking at a "diet plan" if you're hoping for long term success.  The first year it's easy to skip exercising and not eating right. To be successful you should attempt to make a healthy lifestyle change. See your Surgeon and ask how many calories are right for you at this time. Protein, Veggies, calcium, water and limited bad carbs and other sweets. Document your daily food/calories will help more than you know.

The key is not necessarily cutting everything out but eating in moderation....EXERCISE.
