Where have y'all been hiding?
Hey Mz Lena....Giiiirl, it is good to see you too. 
I am getting the impression (and I could b wrong) that the DS is not a popular procedure among us. 
I cannot tolerate the barfing (its been 20 years now), my band is skitzo 
I never know from day to day what is going to get stuck and I am still fat. I really have chased this hard for the last year.
I think menopause kicked my azz into full gear
. Kinda like a really dramatic wake up call. Of course the co morbidities are finally catching me with my drawers down. 
you know the same boring list...high blood...da sugah ( i am not diabetic yet but on the fast track), joints screaming etc...you get the picture..oh yeah and finding out that i am not just fat....drumroll plz.....I am super morbidly obese!!!! dayumn.. that is one hell of a classification...whew..i had to stop and rest just typing that.
Anyway everything started falling into place right after I flew all the way to Indiana to have..the "surgical bait and switch". You know...I was real clear about what i wanted when I called this surgeons office. 
I talked to her surgical nurse 2x even asking if they wanted the original surgery notes. I probably had at least 4 conversations where I was very clear it was a revision and i wanted the DS......and then after much drama...thanks to
American #$%#*! Airlines stranding me in the O 'Hare airport overnight(((that by itself is a book!))), and Hotwire .com ripping me off by charging my credit card twice
(that was almost maxxed out to begin with) so now I was unable to pick up the rental car that was already paid for because...... I now did not have enough on the credit card to guarantee the ALREADY PAid for rental!!!.....
.to finally managing to get to the surgeon and having her tell me she does not do DS as a revision but .....The hot sale surgery this month was a long limb RNY!! Can somebody say AMEN...cuz this sistah is real saved!
Anyway after I got back to Oklahoma and stopped and took a deep breath and really asked the LORD 
and waited for an answer .....I found the surgeon, 
the insurance gave the green light..and then I actualy moved an hour away from the city where the surgeon and the hospital is. SOOOOO.....I am ready!!! counting the days...and i promise you i am going to ROCK this tool
I told my surgeon I am going to make sure his name is up in lights when this is all over!
I am sooo glad i found this forum. Whatever is left of my life is not going to be spent in this body in its current state. 
I am heading for "one-derland".

Mz JoJo, this is not about your surgery that WWW. whatever,hotels ,flight'etc. will rake you though the fire.
Doing the hurricanes TX back to back one of two different ones a www.cheapticket and www.orbit had a field day on our account cards it took 3mos to get them in check only because I had to tell them I had reported them to my credit card department.
That included a bank charge card 2 differnt card for me ,1 for my sister. I'll never go through those type of www.sites again
I go straight though to the place where I need to be.

Determined........ Hey Mz Platinum...Hmmm Chocolate city...Now that brings back some serious flashbacks!!!! and now we got a Black man in "da white house" in the middle of a Chocolate city. Whew...never ever thought I would see it in my lifetime. Thanks for the welcome and if thats your picture I wanna be yo lil sistah when i grow up
