I am too through. 
I have been on this site for over a year and had no idea there was a 
Black American Forum. (help her, Jesus) .
Oh my goodness. Well, anyway a l'il about me. I had a VBG 20 years ago. I am now 354 lbs and scheduled for a revision on 1/29. I am going all the way to the "dark side" as it is termed and getting the DS. I am so excited 
about the prospects for the rest of my life. I am a 53 year old widowed adoptive mom of 6 and Gran ma of 1. Wow....I am so glad I found this part of the site. Please keep me in prayer 
those that have that habit. All surgery is risky but revision carries its own issues. I have prayed and I am ready to get 'er done. Y'all hollah at a sistah

Hey Queen...(Mz jojo ....curtsey's reverently in the presence of royalty) Well, its is really a lil bow cuz at this weight a real curtsey will find u flat on yo.....well you get the picture! anyway... oh no you didn't!...You are much younger than me.. I am claiming the "ole timer's defense"..It just never occurred to me that "WE" would have our own spot. Huh, go figure.

I happened to google something about African americans, obesity and the DS and this forum was one of the choices. Imagine my surprise. Hey Mz "Hotlanta" Hershey...thankz for the welcome. I love Atlanta. I almost moved there about 6 years ago. I could drive from Oklahoam to ATL in 10 1/2 hrs.
Course it didn't hurt that there was was this purty bllllaaaaacccccckkkkkk man waiting.
HMMMM...had to kick him to the curb,
but I still like ATL cuz I love my peeps. 
sigh..thats another story for another list or forume LOL anyway, please pray.The ole folks in testimony servcie used to say,"those that know the works and the worth of prayer, pray much for me" I am definitely interested in being high on the list.

Kathleen...thanks so much for the welcome. Gurrrl, I was never on track. I lost 50 lbs because the original surgery landed me back in the hospital for 11 days. After that it was business a s usual except now I had this ring that made me play barf roulette.
But I feel ya, I am going to rock it this time. I like what i read on here "go hard or go home." I am letting them gut me from belly button to breastbone again!!! No way....this has to work!
