Hola Peeps,

I'm having my surgery on Monday.  (Feel soooo weird to FINALLY be able to say that!)  I've heard that the fewer things you take with you to the hospital, the better.

For you post-ops, what did you find was the most useful thing you took with you for your hospital stay?  In that same vein, what did you definitely NOT need?

Please chime in... I'm taking notes!    Thanks!

The best thing I took was Becca.  She stayed in the hospital the whole time with me sleeping on that uncomfortable chair and I stayed in the hospital the whole time when she had her surgery also.

It was goog having her there because they were constantly trying to give me stuff that I wasn't suppose to have and I was so out of it for the first few days it was good having her there to speak for me.

Noted... thanks!   My partner and (17 y/o) son will be with me.

Did Becca have WLS also?

Add some chap stick to the list.  I took books, magazines and stuff like that.  None of that was needed cause I was too out of it to even think about reading.

I've heard that too... that you're too out of it to read much while in the hospital.  Such a shame 'cause my family gave me a Kindle for that exact purpose.  Guess I'll use it after I get home.

Chapstick... check!

Makes sense.

Re: vitamins... really?  I know I won't be able to drink anything until day 2, but I will take them just in case.  Thanks!
