Kim you already got all kinds of good advice. I can't really relate to the Christmas hype because we didn't have Christmas in my house. My family was Nation of Islam for a while when I was younger. Even after we left the NOI we didn't celebrate Christmas, just Kwanzaa. Me and hubby are going to the movies and then to dinner somewhere that's open. He doesn't trip off it either. Matter of fact let me start looking up where's open now!

Miss you!

Kim,  The Traditional Christmas as we know it, in my opinion, is just very overrated.  It's a very very difficult season for a lot of people.  I never had real family because I lost both my parents when i was a teenager and I was an only child............so the holiday season for me was always always difficult.........................especially in the workplace, and i always worked in offices....to this day.....I just want it to hurry up and be over.  I've learned how to just basically get outside of myself and so I do exchange gifts, now i'm married, so spend time with my husband's family, and so on....but deep down in my heart............i just want it to hurry up and be over. Period !!!!!  I really feel where you are coming from Kim.  It's just such an intense season and seems like there's no place to go when we just don't want to deal with it.  Here's how I rationalize it...................On Thursday,Dec. 25...............in 24 hours it will be over.   folks will be tired, broke and back to normal.......and the hype will be over.  Now, will I shop over the weekend and catch some of those 75% off bargains for next year?  You best believe it..................but still be glad when it's over.

WISHING YOU A POWERFUL , PROSPEROUS...................HAPPY NEW YEAR..............we're almost there 2009....................................!!!
