Why...why...oh why do people do this!!!!!
Most of you know that I don't like the holiday season. My family and friends all know that this is due to the fact that I lost my Mom and Grandparents, so the holidays just don't do a thing for me. This is nothing new (it's been 7 years)...
Anyway, why do they STILL try to force me to have the holiday spirit? Every year I decline invitations for dinner. Feeling compelled to make up a lie most of the time, just to get them off my back. Well I'm getting tired of making shiot up....I have to work, I don't feel good......
I want to just yell.....LEAVE ME THE FU***** ALONE TILL JANUARY 1st!!!
I have made progress...getting a little better at trying to do better during this time. My participation in the Christmas card exchange here on BAF was a big step for me. I just wanna take things one step at a time....without being forced or bullied into celebrating.
Is this so hard to understand?
Please tell me you all would honor your family members or friends wishes on this.
Or am I just being a biotch about this?
I just needed to vent...thanks for listening

Some people don't realize that one's time of mourning can take days, months and sometimes years. For example, my paternal grandmother died when I was 9 years-old. My dad, being an only child and really close to his mom (yeah, I guess my dad was kind of a momma's boy) took it very badly, to be expected. To this day, on her birthday and around the holidays (she died soon after New Year's Day back in '73), he mourns her.
In there meantime, I know you don't want to be in the Holiday spirit, but here's hoping you have a fruitful new year.
